Swimming Pool Rules
Safety is an important aspect of having a good time at the pool. These FFC Pool rules are designed to keep you and those around you safe while you and
your family enjoy our facilities. Below are our general rules for pool safety
and specific rules for safe use of the diving board. Lifeguards have been
instructed to enforce these rules to maintain safety at Fairfield Pool at all times.
General Rules
- No person may use the pool unless it is officially open and the lifeguards
are on duty.
- All instructions given by the lifeguards are to be followed.
- Admission to the pool may be denied for any of the following reasons:
- Intoxication.
- Open sores, wounds, skin infections, and nasal or ear discharges.
- Any condition or evidence, which in the opinion of the manager will
jeopardize the health and safety of the membership.
- 3 whistles = everyone must clear the pool.
- No running allowed. Patrons must walk in pool and restroom areas.
- Diving is permitted only in the deep end and diving well. Please note
signs around pool edges.
- Running, pushing, causing undue disturbance, or any conduct that may
endanger the welfare of self or other patrons is prohibited.
- Children under 5 years of age or non- swimmers must be supervised by a
responsible person, who is in the water and remains within arms reach of the
child. Persons unable to pass a swim test must stay in water that is not over
their shoulders.
- Flotation devices will be permitted in shallow water at the manager's
discretion. An adult must be within arms reach of the child. Floatation
devices such as inner-tubes and arm floats are not permitted.
- Proper swimming attire must be worn. T-Shirts are discouraged and will be
allowed only at the manager's discretion.
- Infants/children not toilet trained must wear swim diapers under swim
suits. No diapers please.
- Spitting, blowing of nose into the pool or onto deck, improper public
displays of affection and profanity is prohibited.
- Inflatable beach balls or sponge balls are allowed in the pool during
non-crowded conditions and at the manager's discretion.
- Food and drinks are permitted on the food deck.
- Glass containers or breakable objects of any kind are not permitted in the
pool area, restrooms, or outside deck.
- All injuries occurring within the pool area or restrooms must be reported
to the manager on duty immediately.
- Children's strollers must remain at least 4 feet from the side of the pool
next to shallow water.
- Smoking is not permitted inside the pool gates.
- No animals inside the pool area.
- Each guest must pay the guest fee at each visit. Each guest is permitted
only 5 visits per season. If requested, the manager may extend permission
for out-of-town guests to visit for up to two consecutive weeks. A
babysitter does not count as a guest if added to a Family Membership.
- The Fairfield - Fairfield Crest Swim Pool assumes no liability for the
loss or theft of member's personal belongings. Items left in pool area at the
end of the day will be placed in the pool's lost and found.
- The pool manager or lifeguard may close the entire pool complex, or any
portions of the pool complex for any safety or maintenance reason.
- The pool manager or lifeguard on duty has the authority to enforce these
rules and may remove any patron who violates these rules from the Fairfield -
Fairfield Crest Swim Pool.
- And most importantly... Enjoy your day at the pool!
Diving Board Rules
- Only one person at a time is permitted on the diving board and ladder.
- Each person must wait at the bottom of the diving board ladder until the
previous diver has reached the side of the pool.
- Only one bounce per dive is permitted.
- Cartwheels and handstands off the board or the side of the pool are
prohibited.
- Immediately after surfacing, divers must swim directly to the ladder and
exit the pool. Swimming under the diving board is prohibited.
- Playing or swimming in the diving area is not permitted while boards are
open for diving.
- Hanging off the end of the diving board is not permitted.
- Masks or floatation devices may not be worn when going off the diving
board.
- The Manager on Duty may restrict certain dives based on safety concerns.
